Hanna Płonka is an economist at CASE – Centre for Social and Economic Research, where she conducts economic research and public policy analysis. She specializes in econometric modeling and data analysis. Her research interests include sustainable development, environmental economics, climate change, the energy transition, and inequality. She works, among others, on projects related to the phase-out of fossil fuel subsidies, tax gaps, and wealth taxation.

Prior to joining CASE, she interned at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, part of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, where she conducted a project examining the economic impacts of climate change.
