EU industrial policy: assessment of recent developments and recommendations for future policies


Project description:

The study will feed into the general debate about the role of an EU coordinated and integrated industrial policy to support our economies and to contribute to the competitiveness of our enterprises. The delivered independent expert opinion should enable Members of the ITRE Committee to establish their own view of the subject, in particular regarding the assessment of whether and to which extent recent policies are being implemented effectively.


General Objectives of the Project:

The scope of the study will be to evaluate the effectiveness of the EU industrial policy, to take stock and to assess the different measures taken to ensure that industrial growth takes off in the EU, in the context of re-industrialisation and creation of high skilled jobs in manufacturing and in related services.


Project Output:

As a result of the project, an assessment of EU industrial policy, together with policy recommendations, will be prepared.
