Economic Transformation in Poland and Belarus

This project aimed to prepare a plan of wide-ranging economic reforms in Belarus in the context of the presidential elections of 2001. During study visits to Poland, economic experts from Belarus consulted with CASE experts directions of the potential reforms in Belarus. The program prepared then still serves as the basis of work on subsequent economic reform programs for Belarus. The work of CASE experts under the direction of Rafal Antczak, was financed by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation as part of the 'Transformations in the Region' (RITA) program.
