Vote for our project: “Sponge City”!

We are pleased to announce that the "Sponge City" project has been selected for the next stage of the E.ON Connects Energy for the Climate programme, which involves a public vote on the shortlisted projects.

The Sponge City concept focuses on local water retention, making the city more resilient to droughts and heat waves, and safer during heavy rainfall and flooding. The more water that is stored, the more effective the evaporation process becomes, reducing the impact of the urban heat island effect. The aim of this project is to introduce this concept to Warsaw's housing cooperatives and office building managers by sharing best practices from other Sponge Cities.

Voting will take place on the website and will be open from today, 12 August 2024, until 12 September 2024 at 11:59 PM.
