CASE welcomes new members in CASE Management Board

Luca Barbone, who has been a CASE Fellow since the beginning of 2011, was appointed to the position of President of the CASE Management Board starting on September 19, 2011. Dr. Barbone has an extensive experience in development and growth policies, as well as in transition issues. He worked at the World Bank between 1988 and 2011, where he held various leadership positions, the most recent being Director in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Policy Unit in the Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (2007-2011).

In his mission Luca will be supported by two Vice-Presidents: Sebastien Leclef and, starting in the beginning of October 2011, Maciej Sobolewski. Mr. Sobolewski has been involved in CASE research projects since 1997 and was lecturer of microeconomics at Warsaw University; he focuses his recent research work on telecommunications markets.
