Mid-term results of the NEUJOBS project presented

On February 18th and 19th, 2013, two events took place within the FP7-funded project NEUJOBS, which aims to analyze future developments of the European labor markets. On the first day, at the mid-term conference entitled “The Future of European labor markets: fact-checking the vision”, the researchers presented the outputs of the first half of the project and engaged the policymakers in attendance in a debate around the main findings. CASE expert Izabela Styczyńska made a short presentation on “The impact of socio-ecological transition on employment structure and patterns in the context of (non)rural regions”, which had been prepared together with Boris Najman, CASE Fellow, and Alexander Neumann.
The second day was devoted to discussing work packages 12-20. Anna Ruzik-Sierdzińska, who leads WP17: Employment of the elderly on behalf of CASE, discussed the work that has already been done, as well as the current and future activities planned within this work package. Moreover, the experts discussed the dissemination strategies and optimal communication methods for institutions involved in similar research areas in different work packages of the NEUJOBS project.
