The analysis of the changes in the structure and distribution of salaries in Poland in the years 1996-2006. The causes and the possible implications for the labour market and socio-economic policies

Description:

The aim of this project is to analyze the changes in the structure and the distribution of salaries in Poland from 1996-2006.  The mechanisms causing  these changes, such as Skill-Biases Technological Change (SBTC) will also be analyzed.

Based on the available data, the experts will establish the determinants of these distributions and  will interpret the changes over time. Information concerning the characteristics of the place of work and also of employers will help the experts to connect the changes in the structure of employment with the changes in the distribution of salaries. Finally, experts will provide contemporaneous estimations of the changes in the probability of finding or losing a job and the changes in the expected salary level.
