Katarzyna Mirecka


Katarzyna Mirecka is an economist at Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) in Warsaw. She holds a BA in Applied Foreign Languages (English and Russian) from Université Stendhal Grenoble III (France) and an MA in Economics from Poznań University of Economics (Poland). She is a native Polish speaker, is fluent in French and English, has a very good knowledge of Russian, and a basic knowledge of Italian. Her fields of expertise concern social policies, income inequalities, unemployment, welfare states and poverty. At CASE, she has broadened her experiences in policy research, conducting interviews, data collecting and analysing, while also writing applications and working on numerous projects for Polish and European institutions. Katarzyna gained her first professional experience while working as a project manager for a Brussels-based NGO by leading developmental projects in Africa.
