Grzegorz Poniatowski

Director of Fiscal Policy Studies

His areas of expertise include macroeconomic policy, fiscal policy, and taxation.

As a CASE expert, Dr. Poniatowski has been involved in over 40 research projects, evaluations, and impact assessments for governmental, international, and EU institutions on a variety of subjects. Currently, he is the Team Leader of the Study to quantify and analyze the VAT gap in EU-28 Member States; an expert  in the study on measuring tax evasion of individuals and the evaluation of EU invoicing rules.

Dr. Poniatowski obtained his PhD from the Warsaw School of Economics, Department of Theoretical Economics,  Additionally, he holds a degree from the Paris School of Economics, and a joint MA in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He completed his MA and BA in Quantitative Methods in Economic and Information Systems at the Warsaw School of Economics.
