Charles W. Calomiris to give two seminars in Warsaw this week

Considered one of the world’s foremost financial historians, Charles W. Calomiris, Professor of Financial Institutions at Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) will be CASE’s guest in the second half of this week. On Thursday, October 3rd, Professor Calomiris will be a special guest at the BRE Bank-CASE seminar, where he will give a presentation on “The Political Origins of Banking Crisies and Scarse Credit”. The following day, on October 4th, he will give a lecture on “Capital Requirements, Bank Lending and Macroprudential Policy” at the seminar organized by the Economic Institute of the National Bank of Poland.
