Dr Agnieszka Kulesa is the Lead Social Sciences Researcher at CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research. She supports business development and oversees and contributes to research and analytical projects. Having joined CASE in 2018 as an economist, she served as Vice-President of the Management Board from 2021 to 2024. Agnieszka has authored or co-authored numerous publications, including peer-reviewed articles and reports for European institutions such as the European Commission (EC), the European Parliament (EP), the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
Her research focuses on migration policy, as well as the impact of policy changes and broader social and technological transformations – including digitalisation and the green transition – on human mobility, employment patterns and learning trajectories.
Prior to joining CASE, she worked at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) and the Ministry of the Interior. Between 2010 and 2014, she coordinated Poland’s participation in the Prague Process, representing the country in the EU High-Level Group on Asylum and Migration. She also served in the Presidency Corps during Poland’s EU Council Presidency in 2011. Subsequently, she collaborated with the University of Warsaw and the Stockwell Partnership in London on projects supporting the labour market integration of Polish migrants. She also worked for such organisations such as Ecorys and the Institute of Public Affairs.
