Marek Peda is Vice President of the Management Board at CASE. Previously, for 7 years, he served as Head of the Business Development Team at CASE, where he was responsible for the acquisition, management, and implementation of research and development projects funded by European institutions (including Directorates-General of the European Commission) as well as national authorities. He currently oversees the strategic and financial development of CASE, supervises the implementation of international research projects, and coordinates cooperation with international partners.
Before joining CASE, Marek Peda accumulated over 15 years of experience as a project manager delivering projects for international organisations, European institutions, and non-governmental organisations. His responsibilities included the planning, implementation, and financial reporting of projects in the areas of democracy, European integration, civic education, and public policies.
Since 2006, he has cooperated with the European Commission as an EU election expert and observer, participating in numerous EU Election Observation Missions (EU EOM) in South American and African countries. At the same time, he pursued academic and research cooperation in Spain and the United States, including PhD studies and research at the University of the Basque Country, which was funded by a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a Marie Curie Fellowship.
He is the author of numerous articles on project management and EU structural funds in Poland and the European Union.
