Andrzej Robaszewski is Director of Fiscal Policy Studies and Sustainable Development. His areas of expertise also include EU economic governance, energy markets and ESG.
Before joining CASE, Andrzej Robaszewski worked at the European Court of Auditors (ECA). Through numerous contributions and publications, he provided influential guidance to EU policymakers on how to improve the design and implementation of the EU budget and key policies. His responsibilities included assessing the economic viability and sustainability of EU programmes related to financial and energy markets, and EU economic and fiscal governance. He was also a member of the INTOSAI working group responsible for the development of green fiscal policy tools.
Andrzej Robaszewski has international experience in both the public and private sectors. He has worked in the Risk and Regulatory Department of EY Luxembourg providing macroeconomic analysis and risk management services, in project management and the fund industry at Citibank Europe and at the European Central Bank in DG Market Operations where he analysed financial market liquidity, where he analysed financial market liquidity and investigated manipulation of foreign exchange markets. He also worked as an economist at Gaz-System S.A. in Poland, where he focused on investment projects and regulatory frameworks within the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) working groups in Brussels.
Andrzej Robaszewski holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Essex (UK) and the Paris- Panthéon-Assas University Panthéon-Assas University in France. He has also completed the Certificate in Sustainable Finance at the University of Luxembourg and the Executive Course in Eurasian Geopolitics for Policy Makers and Managers at the Luiss School of Government in Italy.
