Katarzyna Karwan combines her experience as a researcher and an HR Business Partner in the technology sector. She focuses on leadership development, human capital management, building business and organizational culture, and supporting leaders in making decisions related to people management, including in the area of labor law.
She is a graduate of Jagiellonian University and the Warsaw University of Technology, where she earned a degree in molecular biotechnology. For many years, she worked as a research scientist, gaining experience in international research teams, including at the Medical University of Vienna, the Technical University of Darmstadt, and the Marceli Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her work in the scientific community shaped her interest in the topics of diversity, equal opportunity, and the advancement of women in science and the technology sector.
She currently serves as an HR Business Partner at an international technology organization, where she collaborates with executive boards, managers, and leaders to support the achievement of business goals through organizational development, building leadership competencies, making decisions regarding people management, and shaping solutions aligned with business needs and labor law requirements.
As part of the EmpowerHer – Female Leadership for Sustainable Development project implemented by CASE, she led the “Women in Leadership” module, dedicated to developing women’s leadership competencies and conscious leadership.
