Currently an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, senior fellow at the Stockholm Free World Forum and Chairman of the Economics Education and Research Consortium, for over 30 years Anders Åsund has been focusing on the systemic transition from a centrally planned economy to a market economy. He has been an advisor to, among others, the presidents of Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan and has contributed to the economic policy of the Baltic States. From 1989 to 1994 he was a professor of international economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. He graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics, and earned a PhD from Oxford University.
