Jan Švejnar is the Everett E. Berg Professor of Business Administration, Director of the International Policy Center and Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the University of Michigan, Chairman and a Lead Researcher at CERGE-EI in Prague, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, CSOB Bank, Czech Republic, and he also serves as an advisor to numerous policy makers, institutions and firms. He received his B.S. from Cornell University´s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and his MA and Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University. He has an extensive international research, lecturing, and consulting experience. He is an author of hundreds of books, monographs, research papers, journal articles etc. He also works in different editor positions of journals such as Economics of Transition, Economic and Business Review for Central and South-Eastern Europe, Central European Journal of Operations Research and Economics, and Politická Ekonomie. Professor Švejnar lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the United States and in Prague in the Czech Republic.
