Our annual analysis of price changes for products in the so-called “Christmas basket” was featured in online media, including Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and commercial news outlets.

The CASE 2025 Christmas basket presents an analysis of price changes for the most frequently purchased food products during the holiday season, based on high-frequency data from the Online CASE CPI tool. According to the results of the study, in December 2025, we will pay an average of 4.1% more for the same set of products than a year earlier, which means a clear slowdown in price pressure compared to 2022-2024.

According to journalists, based on our calculations prepared by Andrzej Robaszewski and Jan Sadowski, the prices of dark chocolate (47.6%), apple juice (29.2%), orange juice (24.5 percent), and mayonnaise (17.9 percent). We will also pay more than last year for oranges and cod. On the other hand, vegetable prices have fallen, with the following changes: potatoes (down 60.3%), carrots (49.8%), canned beans (21.8%), peas (19.2%) and tomatoes (-16.2%).
