Andrzej Robaszewski, Director for Fiscal Policy and Sustainable Development at CASE, appeared on TVP Info to discuss the findings of the latest report, “Easter Basket 2026.”

During the interview, he noted that the cost of the Easter basket increased by 12.8% year-on-year. However, when excluding dark chocolate, the increase drops to just 1.8%, highlighting how a single rapidly rising product can significantly affect the overall result.

He also emphasized the uneven nature of food price changes, with some products experiencing strong increases while others have become cheaper. As he explained, this reflects both seasonal demand ahead of the holidays and cost pressures across the food production chain.
