The first of four panels titled “Innovation Competitiveness Worldwide” was moderated by the vice president of CASE Jan Hagemejer. The panel was a crucial segment of the event. It featured discussions on the recently released GTIPA reports that benchmarked the innovation competitiveness of states and provinces in select countries across Europe, South America, and the United States. The “Transatlantic Subnational Innovation Competitiveness Index” covered states in Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Sweden, and the United States, while the “South American Subnational Innovation Competitiveness Index” compared states in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru to the United States.
