CALL FOR PAPERS
Submission deadline: 17 March 2025
The EUROFRAME group of research institutes (CASE, CPB, DIW Berlin, ESRI, ETLA, IfW Kiel, NIESR, OFCE, PROMETEIA, WIFO) will hold its twenty-first annual Conference on Economic Policy Issues in Europe on 6 June 2025. The aim of this conference is to bring together academics, and policy-oriented economists by providing a forum for debate on economic policy issues relevant in the European context. As the global economy continues to evolve, the nature of work and employment is undergoing significant transformations. This conference aims to explore the future landscape of labour markets, the impact of technological advancements, demographic shifts, and policy responses to these changes.
For the 21st EUROFRAME Conference, we seek both empirical and theoretical policy-relevant papers. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:
● Sectoral shifts and misallocation
● Productivity drivers and developments
● The impact of automation and AI on jobs and productivity
● Gig economy vs quality employment
● Labour markets and the green transition
● Labour market policies
● Work-life balance, childbearing and employment
● Effects of flexible working arrangements
● The future of employment (employee status, job polarisation)
● Demographic changes and their implications for the labour market.
● Labour migration in uncertain times
● Barriers to the labour mobility and employment in the EU Single Market
● Education, lifelong learning and skills development for the future workforce
Submission Guidelines:
Draft papers (or extended abstracts) should be submitted by email by 17 March 2025 to euroframe.conference@ofce.sciences-po.fr.
Drafts should include: title of the paper, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s), corresponding author’s email address, postal address, and telephone number. Please indicate if you are willing to act as a discussant.
Corresponding authors will be informed of the decision of the scientific committee by mid-April 2025.
Full papers should be received by email by 23 May 2025.
