EuroMeSCo Annual Conference 2023

EuroMeSCo Annual Conference 2023, labeled “The quest for a more “geopolitical” EU foreign policy in the MENA region”, is taking place on 9 - 11 October 2023 in Madrid. 

As we can read on their webpage, "against the backdrop of challenges that we are facing today, such as the war in Ukraine and its implications, which have rekindled the discussion around a “geopolitical” EU, it is imperative to explore the implications of this concept specifically in relation to the MENA region.

EuroMeSCo comprises 115 institutes from 30 European and Southern Mediterranean countries. It was founded in 1996, in the aftermath of the Barcelona Declaration.

The event within the framework of the project EuroMeSCo: Connecting the Dots, co-funded by the European Union and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed).
