Call for Applications
CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research announces an open call for applications for a short-term research fellowship as part of the above-mentioned project, funded by the Polish-German Foundation for Science (PNFN).
About the Project
The project examines the interrelationships between conflicts and tensions at the national level and international cooperation, focusing on migration and security policies in Polish-German relations. The aim of the research is to analyze how internal political and social debates on migration and security in Poland and Germany influence bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as to identify areas of tension and potential for enhanced policy coordination at the national, bilateral, and EU levels. The project is being carried out by CASE in cooperation with a German partner institution, as part of a grant program of the Polish-German Foundation for Science (PNFN).

The fellowship is short-term and is awarded for the completion of specific research tasks within the project, in accordance with the PNFN Regulations on Funding and Awarding Fellowships.
Who Can Apply
Individuals who meet the following criteria may apply for the scholarship:
- have an educational background and research interests relevant to the project’s subject matter (migration policy, security, Polish-German relations, European studies / political science / international relations, or related fields);
- have documented academic achievements and/or research experience (e.g., participation in research projects, publications, theses, research internships);
- possess the qualifications necessary to perform the tasks specified in the project (see below);
be proficient in English and Polish to the extent necessary to conduct research and prepare analytical materials.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Research support at all stages of the project;
- literature review and analysis of public policies in the areas of migration and security;
- support in collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, including liaising with stakeholders;
- participation in the preparation of project reports and analytical materials.

a cover letter (up to 1 page) addressing the project’s topic.

Selection Procedure
Applications are reviewed by the Unit’s (CASE) committee, which includes the project manager, in accordance with the PNFN Regulations on Funding and Awarding Scholarships. The evaluation of applications takes into account, in particular: academic achievements, research experience, and qualifications to perform the tasks specified in the project.
The selected candidate will enter into a fellowship agreement with CASE specifying the scope of work, the amount of the fellowship, and the payment period.
