The Perspective From Member States
On Thursday, 28th of May CASE experts took part in an important discussion at a Home Office event in London, which brought together experts from across Europe to share their views and consider potential future collaborations. CASE was represented by Oskar Chmiel in London and Agnieszka Kulesa online.
The meeting was part of a project examining the future of UK–EU cooperation on justice and home affairs, which was commissioned by the Home Office. CASE implemented the Polish case study.
During three interactive sessions, CASE experts shared Poland’s perspective on the following topics:
- migration and border security
- serious organised crime and law enforcement
- counter-terrorism
Together with academics and experts from Italy, Spain and Cyprus, CASE experts discussed national approaches to these challenges and identified areas where stronger UK–EU and bilateral cooperation could deliver tangible benefits.
Special thanks to the Home Office for hosting this valuable exchange, and to all participants for their insightful and engaging contributions.
