Systemic Transformation in 27 countries

From February to June 2002, a group of CASE experts led by Rafał Antczak worked on the economic part of a report concerning the systemic transformation in 27 countries. A report entitled New Europe: Report from Transformation was presented at the 12th Economic Forum which took place in Krynica (Poland) in September 2002.

Two of the four chapters dedicated to the economic aspects of transformation were prepared by CASE experts Rafał Antczak, Wojciech Paczyński and Mateusz Walewski. A special study session, which formed an integral part of the report, discussing privatisation in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the former USSR, took shape with the significant participation of our colleague Piotr Kozarzewski. The report was published by the Institute of Eastern Studies Foundation.
