Register for the RECEIPT online workshops

CASE is organizing two online workshops on the economic impacts of extreme weather conditions on the manufacturing sector in Europe and the world. The first workshop which will be focused on the electronics industry will be held on March 26th (from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.). The second workshop which will be focused on the textile industry will be held on March 26th (from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.).

The workshops will provide an excellent opportunity for managers and representatives of companies from different European countries to exchange experiences and best practices. Thanks to these workshops participants will gain inside knowledge that will help their business be better prepared for climate changes, and their company will have a real chance to influence policymakers - the results of the project will be presented at the EU level.

In an interconnected world, Europe’s economy is increasingly affected by climate change impacts (hurricanes, droughts, floods) that occur beyond its border. The workshops will address the following issues, among others: what are the socio-economic implications of climate change for European companies, what are the upcoming trends in manufacturing sector, how the value chain would have to be modified in order to keep the manufacturing sector competitive at regional and international levels.

The workshops are part of the RECEIPT - REmote Climate Effects and their Impact on European sustainability, Policy and Trade European Horizon 2020 funded research project, which aims to create a plausible picture of Europe’s vulnerability to remote climate risks with potential consequences for key European socio-economic sectors.

If you are interested in the workshops, please send your respond to our Project Manager, Dr. Stanislav Bieliei at stanislav.bieliei@case-research.eu.
