PICK-ME meeting in London

The researchers engaged in the PICK-ME project met in London on June 28th to summarize the work that has been done. CASE was represented by three experts: Itzhak Goldberg, Camilla Jensen and Peter Lindholm. Camilla Jensen and Itzhak Goldberg presented policy implications resulting from Work Package 4 on “Demand and the rate and direction of R&D and innovation efforts”, which has been finalized with good results.
The participants also discussed the progress made in three other work packages, namely “Evolution of demand and dynamics of knowledge-base in knowledge intensive sector”, “Demand and skills matching in local labor markets” and “Evolution of demand, sectoral development and the organization of innovative activities.” The projects were progressing according to the plan and bringing promising results.   
The PICK-ME (Policy Incentives for the Creation of Knowledge: Methods and Evidence) project aims to provide an original contribution to advancing the understanding of the mechanisms through which demand-based innovation policies may foster knowledge creation process and, eventually, trigger competitiveness and productivity growth.
