New publication series CASE Knowledge Insights released

The aim of our new occasional series is to discuss briefly the rationale and aims of CASE’s involvement in certain thematic areas consistent with our mission statement. The first issue written by two CASE Fellows, Iraj Hashi and Itzhak Goldberg, is devoted to the subject of innovation and creativity and their relationship with competitiveness and growth of firms, industries, regions and nations. The research in this area has been recognized as crucial for advancing European countries into innovation and knowledge-based economies and for decreasing the large productivity gap between Europe and the United States.

What is creativity, and is the meaning of creativity universal? Can we encourage the creativity of an individual and, if so, in what ways?
