03 June 2016 (Friday) at 10:00 AM
CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research
al. Jana Pawła II 61/212, Warsaw
(Entrance next to Bank Pekao)

What differentiates the trade agreements of yesterday, today and tomorrow? Anabel González, Senior Director of the Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice at the World Bank, and a former trade negotiator with over 30 years of experience and 6 trade agreements to her name, will discuss the emergence of megaregional trade agreements, such as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. She will explain why regulatory reform – part of the trade agreements of tomorrow – can have a bigger impact on the world economy than tariff reductions. Senior Director Anabel González will also share insights about the challenges of recently completed and ongoing trade negotiations.

Presenter:

Anabel González, Senior Director of the World Bank Group Global Practice on Trade and Competitiveness,  Chair of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Competitiveness, former Costa Rica’s Minister of Foreign Trade.
