Consulting Services on Approaches for the Modernization of the Social Assistance System in Ukraine

 

Decscritption:

Although absolute poverty has fallen in Ukraine during recent years, relative poverty remains at a steady level, affecting mainly the most vulnerable groups in society, viz., families with children, low-income households, families with invalid members.

In order to find out what kind of government social assistance programs would be most effective in reaching and supporting these vulnerable groups, a team of experts from CASE and CASE Ukraine will design, implement and evaluate a series of 9 pilot projects at a regional level.

This assignment is requested by the Ukrainian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and is funded by the World Bank.
