Dr. Yaw Ansu is  the Chief Economist  at the African Center for Economic Transition (ACET) and the  Sector Director for Human Development of the Africa Region at the World Bank.  He provides a strategic vision for the Region's work in the areas of education, health, nutrition and population, and social protection.  Dr. Yaw has also been the Director of Economic Policy in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) Network and the WB Country Director for Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria.

Dr. Edward K. Brown

Along with Dr. Yaw Ansu CASE also has the pleasure to host Dr. Edward K. Brown, the Director of Policy Advisory Services at ACET.  Dr. Brown has 27 years of experience in international development and public policy at the World Bank working extensively in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.  He has held country manager and resident representative positions in Moldova, Tajikistan, Rwanda and Niger providing overall leadership and management of country programs and policy dialogue, formulating and carrying out country assistance strategies, and strengthening partnerships with donors and local stakeholders.
