Aleksandra Polak


Aleksandra Polak has broad research and communications experience garnered from her time working with various governmental and EU institutions and think-tanks. She was a Communications Officer at CASE from July 2016 to February 2018. Previoulsy she has held roles such as Research Trainee at the Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw and at the Centre d'étude de la vie politique in Brussels. She has also held internships with the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (European Union Economic Department), at the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU, and at the Embassy of Poland in Brussels. At the European Parliament Information Office in Warsaw, Ms. Polak worked closely with their Press Officer on the promotional and information strategy of the office. Her areas of interest include European social policies and economic inequality, the relationship between growth and inequality, EU macroeconomic coordination, and socially inclusive and sustainable growth.

Ms. Polak holds an MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe and an MA in Global Political Economy from the University of Sussex. She also holds a BA in Philosophy and a BA in European Studies from the University of Warsaw. She also participated in an Erasmus exchange at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles in the Department of Political Science.
